Lake Sils offers the best conditions for sailing and windsurfing. The Maloja wind, a thermal wind that blows practically every day when the sun shines, begins to blow around noon. It offers constant conditions and can reach peaks of about 6 Bft (30 knots).

Furthermore, there are no regattas on Lake Sils and kite surfing is not allowed. Those who sail or windsurf on Lake Sils do not only benefit from the favourable weather conditions and the low traffic, but will also be rewarded with a magnificent 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains.
