Camping is a real treat if you want to spend the night under the stars and appreciate the freedom of travelling with a tent, caravan or motorhome.
Camping Maloja
Val Bregaglia offers two beautifully situated natural campsites with good infrastructure: Camping Maloja (T +41 81 824 31 81) is located in a small forest clearing directly on the shores of Lake Sils at 1,800 metres above sea level. The Pittin family has been welcoming families, mountaineers, hikers, sailors and surfers here for more than 30 years. At the Maloja campsite, "it's as good as it gets" because the Pittins do not take reservations, so you have the opportunity to get a pitch every day. If the campsite is fully booked, there are 19 other pitches available for campers and coaches in Maloja from July to mid-August.
Camping Mulina
Alternatively, it is worth travelling about 15 minutes further down the valley and paying a visit to Camping Mulina (T +41 81 822 10 35) at the entrance to Vicosoprano. A small bathing lake and the proximity to the Albigna climbing paradise will make any outdoor enthusiast's heart beat faster. Sonja Negrini and Benny Sacks have been welcoming camping guests to Vicosoprano since the 2024 season.
Wild camping is prohibited in the entire Maloja region.
